Who we are

Debbie Ellisen is an experienced founder and CEO who consults, coaches, and speaks on organizational effectiveness with executive leaders and boards. She has helped transform hundreds of organizations since founding Debbie Ellisen Consulting in 2012. The firm also develops innovative leadership tools to accelerate clarity and align expectations.

Debbie works with a broad range of public, private, and non-profit organizations of all sizes. CEOs appreciate her impact orientation, no-hold-back candor, humility, and extensive operational experience. As a consultant, coach, speaker, and product developer, she helps leaders transform their organizations with clearer strategies, greater team cohesion, and operational rigor.

Debbie’s obsession with organizational effectiveness began when she studied Organizational Behavior as an undergraduate. She learned what worked—and what didn’t—during her 20 years as a leader in early stage and Fortune 100 companies.

Debbie believes that individual, team, and organizational success lives at the intersection of behavior, strategy, and execution, and her work emphasizes these three critical disciplines. She’s renowned for meeting her clients where they are and helping them apply these principles to their unique situations.

Debbie received an MBA from Santa Clara University with an emphasis in Leadership and a B.A., Social Science with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior from the University of California, Berkeley. Debbie and her husband live in San Francisco and have two adult children. When she's not with a client, she can be found skiing, golfing, or hiking.
